Does this band look familiar? Heaven's Basement

A certain band has risen from the ashes to turn up in the form of Heaven's Basement.

Fans of Roadstar (previously Hurricane Party) will be very familiar with the musical talents of Heaven's Basement.

Their MySpace comments; 'Born from the five corners of the UK with one soul ambition between them; to reach the summit of their potential and to be regarded alongside the bands that inspired them. Heaven's Basement are about evolution, growth and reaching new heights. Defiance, risk taking, and self-challenge are their hallmarks.

"We're all about big, energetic, statements of intent", says frontman Richie. "We're the band that will make you fall in love with Rock n' Roll all over again".'

'Sweet Seduction' call it a day

As previously reported, Sweet Seduction were going to be rebranding themselves to reflect the change in their sound over the past few months but they've decided to call it a day.

Drummer Randii comments "it's been good, bad and ugly and commitment differences won in the end. We were to repackage the band as new under a different name, but to start all over again it seemed stupid for the same band members with different priorities to do that together. We will all be back in different bands eventually no doubt."

Sweet Seduction no more?

Birmingham rockers Sweet Seduction are to change their name.

It seems this change has been come about through the evolution of their sound. A statement on their official MySpace comments "We are naturally going heavier which will require a name change ... see ya on the other side of the wave ... maybe. All venues we're playing for feel free to list is as Sweet Seduction."

The band were previously called The Wild Roses but changed a few years ago. Drummer, Randii spoke to us in 2006 regarding their first name and said that "too many G’n’R comparisons, some people saw the name and thought we were a tribute to them and back then the comparisons were negative."

Sweet Seduction have in the past had support slots with Wednesday 13, Dogs d’Amour, The Sweet, Vain, Tigertailz, Viking Skull, Electric Eel Shock, Shameless (Pretty Boy Floyd /Tuff), Faster Pussycat, Roadstar (Hurricane Party), Winnebago Deal, Tokyo Dragons, the*Ga*Ga*s among others. As well as playing major festivals with the Scorpions, Michael Schenker Group, Terrorvision, the Almighty, Therapy?, the Levellers, GMT, the Datsuns, Skindred, Pitchshifter, The Glitterati and the Answer.
