Mexborough dirt-dealers, Disarm will be stripping it down for the Pure Rawk Awards 09 by playing an acoustic set. Last years 'New Breed Award' winners have really shown the critics their worth by grabbing top notch reviews across the board for their debut album, "By Any Means Necessary".
This won't be the first time that their raw, rampant music has had a lighter treatment. Prior to last years awards, the band had not done any live acoustic material - and an 'impromptu' live performance on "The HellDrive" with Twang on Total Rock Radio showed a different side to the band. Earlier this year, along with some special guests they performed an acoustic set at The Civic in their home town for their album release party.
Pure Rawk has been told to expect possibly some special guests and some familiar tunes not in the Disarm collection.
