Sweet Seduction no more?

Birmingham rockers Sweet Seduction are to change their name.

It seems this change has been come about through the evolution of their sound. A statement on their official MySpace comments "We are naturally going heavier which will require a name change ... see ya on the other side of the wave ... maybe. All venues we're playing for feel free to list is as Sweet Seduction."

The band were previously called The Wild Roses but changed a few years ago. Drummer, Randii spoke to us in 2006 regarding their first name and said that "too many G’n’R comparisons, some people saw the name and thought we were a tribute to them and back then the comparisons were negative."

Sweet Seduction have in the past had support slots with Wednesday 13, Dogs d’Amour, The Sweet, Vain, Tigertailz, Viking Skull, Electric Eel Shock, Shameless (Pretty Boy Floyd /Tuff), Faster Pussycat, Roadstar (Hurricane Party), Winnebago Deal, Tokyo Dragons, the*Ga*Ga*s among others. As well as playing major festivals with the Scorpions, Michael Schenker Group, Terrorvision, the Almighty, Therapy?, the Levellers, GMT, the Datsuns, Skindred, Pitchshifter, The Glitterati and the Answer.
