Glitter*Tripp brings more glam and sleaze rock to Croydon

Pure Rawk's good friends, Glitter*Tripp will be rocking Croydon for their next night at the Brief on the 19th of April.

Paradise City kicks into the next gear with Gypsy Pistoleros and Jack Viper April 9th

'Take me down to the Paradise City' may be a line heard a fair few times but 'Paradise City' does indeed exist in the heart of Soho at Madame Jo Jo's.

Madame Jo Jo’s in the dark heart of Soho was the new location for the billed ‘Ultimate Hedonistic Rock Event’. This is no dark and dingy venue, far from it. Inside Jo Jo’s it is a throwback to a bygone era of glamour, with crimson velvet banquette seating and gilded art-deco balustrades. Madame Jo Jo’s stylishly retro interiors lend itself to the set of a Mötley Crüe Video or a LA Sunset Strip club of the decadent 80’s exactly what the organisers set out to achieve.

Hola! April’s Paradise City sees a Grind-House double bill we’re really stoked about promoting. We’re talking Dusk ‘til Dawn with fewer vampires and more guitars pitted against Long Good Friday with less dodgy fackin’ accents… or maybe not! When I say I like these two bands I mean I fucking love these two bands. This is the real deal! Dirty, sleazy rock n roll just as it should be… and then some!

If you live and die London, Jack Viper write the soundtrack to your life. You can smell the filth through their lyrics, feel the pounding of its dark heart in their rhythm section and the cut and thrust of the night in their insane riffs.

I’ve spent a lot of time in South America and when I first heard Gypsy Pistoleros it took me right back to those hot, sweaty back street rock bars and crazy chicas of Mexico, Venezuela, Bolivia and Peru. Then I found out they are from the UK. Fuckin’ A!
